Training Tuesday: Brigadier General James Gorham

The youth will hear from the first black brigadier general in the National Guard and the vice president of the Kernersville branch of First Citizens Bank. His book dedicated to his father is called “Sharecropper’s Wisdom: Growing Today's Leaders the Old Fashioned Way”. Gorham talks about his father and his upbringing. REGISTER

Festival of Lights at Tanglewood Park (Clemmons)

*REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT IS CURRENTLY FULL* The park’s rolling countryside transforms each holiday season into a shimmering Winter Wonderland with more than a million twinkling lights (more than 80 displays) aglow. Attendees take in the spectacular sights while listening to festive tunes on the interactive musical displays, with an original composition from the UNC School of the Arts students. Available to the first 20 youth to register.
