Board of Directors

Habitat Forsyth’s board of directors is an active board made up of members diverse in race, socioeconomic status, professions, skills and areas of expertise. All board members make a financial contribution to the organization, serve on at least one committee, and assist Habitat throughout the year in areas including family services, fundraising, sponsorships, and event planning and execution.

Habitat Forsyth does far more than build and remodel housing. We are active in counseling and empowering families; acquiring land and existing housing stock; issuing mortgages; and managing a retail operation consisting of four ReStores. Therefore, our board members are selected for their insight and expertise in areas such as social services, family counseling, law, banking, construction, administration, real estate and retail, just to name a few.

The full board meets every other month. In the alternating months, the executive committee meets. Habitat’s resource development, finance, operations and family selection committees meet every month. These committees also welcome volunteers from the community who are not board members.
