Become a Habitat Homeowner!
The First Step
If you are interested in becoming a first-time homeowner through Habitat Forsyth, please attend one of the following information sessions:
-Attend an application orientation session at Habitat for Humanity of Forsyth County located at 339 Witt St. Winston-Salem, 27103. These sessions occur every 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at 6:00 pm.
**Translation is available for non-English, Spanish speaking families during the 4th Monday orientations. Please note: Because space is limited, we do not have space for children.**

How Do I Know if I Qualify?
The Basics:
Applicants who meet our qualifications and are approved must be willing to invest at least
300 hours
of their time in
“sweat equity.”
You will receive a
20-year interest-free mortgage
for which you will make monthly payments to Habitat.
Your mortgage payment is the fastest and most reliable way
to build wealth and a stronger future for your family!
Qualifications and Requirements:
If you answer “yes” to any of the following questions, you may qualify to buy a Habitat home!
Have you had steady income for the last 18 months?
Have you lived in Forsyth County for the last 12 months?
Is it overcrowded in your home?
Are you living in substandard housing?
Do you live in a crime-ridden neighborhood?
Are you making monthly payments on all your debts?
Are you willing to work 300 “sweat equity” hours on Habitat homes?
Does your total family income fall within guidelines listed below?
