Habitat Young Professionals (HYP)

Mission: To engage young professional people in Forsyth County to give back to their community through working with Habitat for Humanity of Forsyth County, to raise money to build Habitat houses and to form the next generation of leadership to address the need for affordable housing in our county.

About Us
Habitat Young Professionals (HYP) is Forsyth County's most engaged, active young professionals organization, offering area professionals the opportunity to make a tangible contribution to Forsyth Habitat's vision.

Homes are built with volunteer labor and community funding, and sold to home buyers with zero-interest mortgage loans. Each home buyer participates in financial education programs and contributes approximately 400 hours of "sweat equity"...offering a hand up, not a hand out.

HYP members enjoy regular social engagements, priority volunteer assignments, interactive fundraising opportunities, and exclusive member appreciation events.

The unique combination of opportunities available to HYP members builds more than just a home; it builds a community, friendships and camaraderie.

Since its founding in 2009, HYP has raised over one hundred thousand dollars for Forsyth County Habitat, built one home, engaged young professionals, and continues to grow.

HYP seeks to raise $100,000 in 2011 to support Forsyth County Habitat and build the next HYP Home this coming fall. We'd like to ask for your partnership in this effort.
